Whether you like them for their beauty, their healing abilities, or the way they catch the light, everyone could do with more crystals in their lives. I've had a slight obsession ever since I was a child when I used to go crystal hunting during family road trips. Montana, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada seemed to be overflowing with crystals. They were in National Parks, alongside rivers, and filled lone gift stores off the side of highways. I managed to hold on to a couple of crystals from my early life travels and add to my collection every time I can.
Last month, S and I went voyaging up PCH and discovered a pop up crystal shop in Malibu. Owned by Stephen A. Hurd, the shop has everything from quartz to meteor bits and fossilized shark teeth to abalone shell. Stephen sets up shop on most weekends (as long as the weather is nice!) right next to the Malibu sign on PCH! Enjoy the view of the beautiful ocean as you hunt through treasures, and if you're lucky, listen to a lesson on crystals from Stephen! If you live too far away to visit him in Malibu, or if you have any questions on crystals or fossils, shoot Stephen an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
