How's that for a before and after?! I recently did a "one year later" update on this denim jacket, but as soon as I posted it I received brand new patches from three different family members! The new patches included the cactus and T-Rex patches that now complete the mid back section, a "Go sit on a cactus" badge patch, and the young naturalist badge I got at Grand Teton national Park when I was on a family road trip as a child (thanks mom!).

This month I'm giving one subscriber Frank body scrub and the Free People Out to Live patch!
The T-Rex and bird represent S and my nicknames. The Unicorn and bird are both stick on patches from Papersource (I also ironed them after sticking them on...), and S was nice enough to give me his vintage Pink Floyd patch.
My Grand Teton Young Naturalist patch I got when I was 8. My family went on plenty of camping trips when I was growing up which is why I love to travel so much as an adult! Ive been working on a National Park bucket list so expect plenty more NP patches (I already have a Joshua Tree, Zion, and Grand Canyon patch as well).
The Highway 1 patch was one of the first patches I put on this jacket. I got it at a small roadside drugstore in Big Sur right after S almost stepped on a snake... while crossing Highway 1! That's why it's so close to the "Don't Tread on Me" snake. The snake patch is related to a tattoo S has and (oddly enough) my job as well.
Just like the Grand Teton patch, my "Junior Ranger" patch is from my childhood road trip days. I love having personal patches from my own childhood mixed into this collection! Especially because this collection always reminds me of elementary school days when I would rip holes in the knees of my pants and my mom would let me pick out the COOLEST patches from Joan Fabric (honestly one of my favorite places to go with my mom growing up).
Shutterfly is my favorite little Pony (she's shy, loves animals, and has pink hair...), the Bast patch (from Dolls Kill) represents my love of ancient history, and the hammer head shark is one of my favorite animals.
Do you know the two 90’s TV shows represented by two patches above?? Guess in the comments 🙃
