Waiting for Dad to help someone with a flat tire.
We started our hike at just under 7,000 feet at the Green Lake trail head (North of Yosemite). My dad had already been to Green Lake before so we decided to head even higher to West Lake. I was carrying about 30 pounds and my dad was carrying 40.
Sweaty and tired!
This was taken at Green Lake. Green Lake is at 9,000 feet and two miles from the trail head. This was also when we were first attacked by mosquitos! They were swarming around us nonstop and didn't seem to mind our bug spray... by the end of the trip we were both covered in mosquito bites (mine still haven't faded completely. Joy.)
Above the tree line.
Made it to the top of the first waterfall! We were at 10,000 feet at this point.
This river went straight over the edge just past those trees.
Setting up camp at West Lake!
Mountain House for dinner.
Time for bed!
Excuse the iPhone pictures! The Canon was too heavy to haul up the mountain, but don't worry! I took tons of gopro footage while hiking up the Mountain that will be posted soon! Till next time,
