The post holiday work load has been consuming me these past few weeks, leaving me little time to blog as frequently as I would like and little creative spirit. Luckily, inspiration is hiding everywhere (especially on pintrest). I stumbled across the flower scent diagram above on pinterest this past week, and was delighted to find that apparently Libra's scent is a flower already found in most of my beauty products... Rose! Below are a few of my favorite beauty products made up of my favorite flower... Click each image to shop the product.
Tinted Lip Treatment: Sugar Rose
I've been hooked on this product for at least three years now. Sugar Rose tinted lip treatments are soft and creamy but tint your lips a wonderfully dark red color (perfect for going out looks). It goes on like a chapstick and doesn't dry out your lips like other lip stains tend to do. The only drawback is it isn't actually a lip stain and tends to fade after an hour or so. Again, it goes on like a chapstick so just keep it with you all night and do touch ups when needed.
My everyday lip product: Smith's Rosebud Salve
I have two of these tins and one tube of Rosebud Salve I use it so frequently! Not only does the product smell divine, it also makes your lips unbelievably soft. I've also dabbed a tiny bit on patches of dry skin here and there and my skin instantly feels soft and moisturized. For those of you who don't have a lip brush I recommend buying the tube version.
My everyday perfume: Roses de Chloe
I wasn't kidding when I said Rose was my scent. I've been wearing Roses de Chloe daily for months now... and all for free thanks to it being a freebie at Sephora all the time! The scent goes on with a heavy "perfume" fragrance at first (think Macy's perfume dept.) but leaves a soft rose bud smell that will linger with you all day. It's a beautiful subtle sent that I adore both for work as well as lounging around the beach. Classic, soft, and feminine.
New Rose scent to try: Tory Burch Jolie Fleur Rose
Sephora is currently giving away sample sizes of Tory Burch's three new floral fragrances. My favorite was "Jolie Fleur Rose", another rose scented perfume that has undertones that remind me of summer. I still favor Roses de Chloe because it smells like pure rose when it settles; "Jolie Fleur Rose" is a more intense rose perfume with other scents layered ontop.
Moisturizing Rose Mask from Sephora
With the weather changes we've been having in LA I've found my confused skin to be dry lately. I'm combatting the dryness with a weekly rose mask from Sephora. These masks are extremely easy to use! Just open, unfold, and lay on top of your skin for 15 minutes. After taking it off, you'll notice residue still lingering on top of your skin. Instead of washing it off, rub it into your skin!
