Summer is here! And after months of longing to be back in the heat S and I headed back out to Palm Springs! It's been over a year since we've visited and I was excited to check some new things off my bucket list. Including these famous Dinos!

Our first night in Palm Springs was spent at the Hilton. While it needs a bit of a face lift, it offers a large pool complete with free pool side cabanas and pool floats you can rent all day for just $5.
Palm Springs sunsets are pure magic.
After a lazy day by the pool S and I decided to try out the casino (I mean... it was right across the street after all). We took a lap around the floor to see what tables they had to offer and ended up trying our luck at the slot machines.
We quickly lost two dollars ... and any desire to gamble any more ha!

While it was closed the night we were in town (on a Monday) Bar is one of our favorite water holes in Palm Springs. Don't let the snakes scare you, the interior is the perfect mix of welcoming rustic decor and mood lighting. Luckily L'Olivo Italian Bistro was open while we were in town (right across the street from Bar)! This quaint Italian restaurant is family owned and makes quality home style Italian food. The food was spot on and the owners made us feel like guests in their home. They were so welcoming! This didn't happen while we were there... but I've heard that the husband occasionally serenades customers in Italian while playing a piano. How magical!
That's all for Day 1, the photo diary for Day 2 is coming up next!
