I've been to the Madonna Inn a handful of times now, but there are still areas on the property that I have yet to explore. While on our "Mini Moon", we made a point to stay on site and experience as much as we could. One place we explored for the first time was The Secret Garden. Click read more to see what lies inside the gates!
I had always laughed at the fact that the Madonna Inn calls it a "secret garden" because it's listed on their website, map, and other promotional items. It can't be THAT much of a secret when everyone knows where it is, right?? Wrong! The Secret Garden at the Madonna inn is actually quite secretive. For some odd reason guests will stroll past and peek over the fruit trees to peer inside, but they won't actually go inside themselves. It was the strangest thing...
Meanwhile, S and I just waltzed right in! The secret garden at the Madonna inn is MASSIVE! It has a large lawn area with fruit trees and string lights (weddings are hosted here), a duck pond with it's own deck, and two separate flower gardens. We explored the gardens on a day where it seemed like the garden keeper was doing some turnover; some plants were dying and new plants were still nestled in their store containers. Two of the flower beds conveniently matched my new Spell Pinafore though, so that was a plus!
