Starting off the Miami Swim show reviews with Wildfox, mainly because the suits that Leilani Shimoda dreams up and creates are beyond perfection. The show introduced Wildfox's new cruise collection, however a single theme was no where to be found. Last year the theme was pretty blatantly 70's mermaid (shells were EVERYWHERE and dark 70s hues were used on every piece), but this year felt more like a mash up of Hawaii and a late 80s glam rock vibe. Black and white stripes mixed in with 80s graphics and slogans ("wild thing" in neon lights etc.) were followed by tropical prints and orchid hair crowns.
The cuts of the suits also merged this years swim favorites (flouncy crop tops and monokinis) and next years cuts (high, HIGH waisted brazilian cuts and mesh peekaboo tops). So you can either shop styles you're comfortable with, OR opt for buying the newest swim trend before anyone else does.
My top favorite suits from the show: The black and white stripped one piece (above), the shell structured bikini top, the sunset/rainbow "Malibu" one piece, and finally, that beautiful flower bikini that sadly won't be available for purchase.
We can't scoop up these new suits just yet, but if your antsy to purchase the most comfortable suit you've ever owned you can shop other Wildfox swim here.
