I've personally never understood why Labor day weekend marked the end of summer. As a kid, school had always already started by the time Labor Day weekend rolled around; and ever since I moved to Southern California I've experienced summer heat in September and sometimes even October. I checked the weather this morning and (to my horror) found that weather.com is predicting mid to high 80s during the entire month of October!
I'm a fall baby.
My birthday is at the end of September, my favorite things to wear are pullovers and flannels, I love pumpkin (real, not fake pumpkin flavor) everything, and my favorite holiday is halloween. So while everyone else is freaking out about the "last weekend of summer", I'm freaking out over yet another delayed fall.
There's something that both sides can agree on though... The Valfre mermaid bomber! This lightweight silky bomber is the perfect jacket to lead you into autumn. Valfre too a 50s spin on the bomber trend, making it unique from the varsity jacket bombers flooding the market. The pastel pink hue works perfectly with both light and dark wash jeans and it's loose enough to fit over long sleeve or short sleeve tops. The real selling point, of course, is the "Mermaid" patch embroidered on the back. It's the perfect subtle way to keep holding onto summer all year long.
